What We’ve Learned

Our project evaluation takes many forms: surveys, focus groups, interviews, and evaluating student work with rubrics. This work keeps our team motivated to continue to push for more growth—and more means of tracking and reporting this growth. A key lesson we have learned is to concentrate our efforts on willing, enthusiastic constituents. By following this methodology, we have achieved some success with the Biology and English departments, and with the faculty and reviewers participating in the Tenure and Promotion process. We hope that the faculty in these departments will influence others by sharing the benefits of their ePortfolio work with their colleagues.
